'13, is president of the Indiana Library Associ tion and presided over the October, 1937, meeting. 1 Mary Ellen Biery, S.S '36 and '37, is chairman of the library sectioul Northwestern Ohio Teachers Association for 1937-38. 1 Elizabeth Bryan, B.L.S. '10, head of the loan department, University! California Library, Los Angeles, is chairman of the College and Univenf Section of the California Library Association. J Fannie Alice Coldren, B.L.S. '22, reference librarian of the Umversr of California, Los Angeles, is chairman of the Regional Cooperation Conij mittee of the California Library Association. Maude Cowan, B.S. '31, librarian of the Southeastern Teachers' Collegi Library, Durant, Okla., was in charge of the very elaborate displays put o by the Training School pupils for Book Week in November. She also ha a column of excellent publicity in the Durant newspaper giving importar information about the college library. Mary H. Clay, B.S. '32, librarian of the Mary Hardin-Baylor Library Belton, Tex., was a member of the publicity committee of the Texas Li brary Association this year and was very active in the campaign for th^ State-aid bill, visiting newspapers in the county and securing favorable! editorials from them. She was also on the Librarv committee of the Bell County Council of P.T.A. and led a panel discussion in Temple at thfl County Council meeting on "Does Bell County Need a Countv Library? She was elected president of the Belton Branch of the American Association! of University Women for 1937-39. H e r name was also included in the Texan Who's Who for 1937. i ? ^ ? ° ' ,?4 ' ' * n of the N e w Trier township high school, Winnetka talked on "Integration in Instruction between the Library and the Other Departments in the School," before the Illinoi High School Conference.
