.Ilumni News Letter, 1937 ALUMNI REUNIONS KANSAS The enclosed list gives the names of those who were present at the University of Illinois Library School breakfast at Pratt City, Kansas, on October 23 This breakfast was one of the social events of tin Kansas Library Association conference which was held October 21-23. Our School had by far the largest representation. 0k I enclose a program with the names of all Illinois individuals appearing thei > checked, Each one of our Illinois people who appeared on the program n gave an exceptionally good paper or talk. It was a splendid meeting—altogether the best state meeting that I have ever attended. Beach, librarian, Friend's University, Wichita; Evelyn Elliott, assistant professor of library science, Kansas State Teachers College, Emporia; Elsie D. Sullens, head of catalog department, Kansas State Teachers College, Emporia; Grace E. Derby, associate librarian, Kansas State College, Manhattan; Elizabeth H. Davis, reference librarian, Kansas State College, Manhattan. ELIZABETH H. DAVIS KENTUCKY The Illinois Library School Alumni in Kentucky held their annual meeting during the Kentucky Library Association conference, which met at Horse Cave, October 9-10. Officers were elected for the coming year and friendships were deepened at the informal luncheon meeting. Eight persons were present. All either paid their dues at the meeting, or had already done so. The eight Illinois Alumni present were as follows: Edna Emilie Bothe, '29, Western Kentucky State Teachers College; Numia Lee Fouts, '35, High School Library (send mail to home address, 325 Riverside, Russel, Ky.) ; Mary Elizabeth Hause, '32, catalog department, University of Louisville; Catherine Lynn Katterjohn, '32, catalog department, University of Kentucky; Blanche Lane, '28, catalog department, Berea College; Lena Barbara Nofcier, '28, Kentucky Library Commission; Perma Allegra Rich, '28, Union College Library; Evelyn Julia Schneider, '30, University of Louisville. Three alumni holding office in the Kentucky Library Association are Miss Lena B. Nofcier, second vice-president; Miss Edna Emilie Bothe, director; and Miss Evelyn Schneider, director. _ _ . ~ J ' PERMA A. RICH LOUISIANA The alumni present at the Louisiana Library Association last March thered for a breakfast. Gropp, Lois Shortcss, Arthur E. >pp. MINNESOTA This year the Minnesota Library Association met in Duluth, October 1-3. iss Lynne Worth obtained the list of Minnesota-Illini from me and sent out Cards to them in advance. On the night of the banquet nine of us sat together at the Illinois table. There were eleven in all, but Miss Ingram and Miss Penrose had to sit at the r d table. We enjoyed being together and it was a very happy occasion. > The credit for this reunion is due to Miss Worth, who spared no pains to make it a success.
