A C T I V I T I E S O F A L U M N I IN P R O F E S S I O N A L A S S O C I A T I O N S , 1933-1934 Mae Corinne Anders, assistant librarian of the Des Moines Public Library, gave a talk on "Books and their authors" before the Library Section of the Iowa State Teachers Association in November. She was assisted by Lelia Sara Wilson, Genevra Parker, and Mary Faith Parmelee. j Marguerite H . Anderson of the Reference department of the Indiana State Library led the discussion at the Round Table for catalogers of small libraries at the A.L.A. meeting. Elsie Andrews, librarian of the State Normal College, Ypsilanti Michigan was elected second Vice-President of the Michigan State Library Association for 1933-34. ., , Grace Barnes, librarian of the University of Maryland, presided over the College Libraries section of the Columbian Library Association which met at Hood College, Frederick. Maryland, in April, 1933. She also gave a "Book Talk" before the Rural Women's short course which was held at he university. . . Ethel Bond, assistant professor in the University of Illinois Library School, was elected Vice- President of the Illinois Library Association at their dinner meeting in Chicago in October. She was also elected Secretarytreasurer of the Catalog Section of the A.L.A. for 1933-34. Anne M.
