Ruth Coblentz, librarian at Converse, Indiana, was elected to the Ex. ecutive Committee of the School Libraries section of the Indiana State Teachers Association when it met last October. Helen Dawley, cataloger in the University of Chicago Libraries, was Catalogu in Chicago and gave a report < Hazel Dean, of the Harvard Business School Library, was elected chairman of the Boston catalogers and classifiers for 1933-34. Harriet Dickson, children's librarian of the Houston, Texas Public Library has been appointed as a member of the A.L.A. Subscription Book Committee. Pauline Dillman, librarian of the Junior College at Joliet, Illinois, discussed magazines for the Junior College Library at the Junior College Library Round Table at the A.L.A. meeting. Irene M. Doyle, assistant professor at George Peabody College for Teachers, is on a Committee of the Educational Commission, a committee composed of three librarians whose work it is to make the library survey of the state of Tennessee.

Women a talk to the class on "What the librarian's interests contribute to library service." He was a member of the College and Reference Section Panel at the A.L.A. meeting. Florence Erwin, High School librarian at Mishawaka, Indiana, was Chairman of the Library Section meeting, North Central Indiana Teachers Association in October. K. Dorothy Ferguson, librarian of the Bank of America conducted a project sponsored by the School of Librarianship of the University of California for the Special Libraries Association of California. Under her direction a Preliminary Directory of Trade Associations for Northern California was compiled. It has been issued in mimeographed form for r the present. Rudolph H. Gjelsness, librarian of the University of Arizona is Secretary-Treasurer of the Arizona State Library Association Margaret Hager led a round table discussion on "Economics we have June 6 t933 ° * ° ' * Library meeting.
