History of Campus Plan

To this Commission much is to be accredited. During the comparatively brief period in which it had functioned, some of the most important steps in the development of the Campus had been determined and the greatest building period of the University was successfully launched. I t has left a very definite impression on the Campus and, for future guidance, has contributed a well established plan and introduced an appropriate style of architecture for future buildings which, if carried out along lines now begun, will place the University of Illinois architecturally in the foremost rank.
