MEETING OF THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE UNIVERSITY OF ILLINOIS October 26, 1950 The October meeting of the Board of Trustees of the University of Illinois was held at the LaSalle Hotel, Chicago, Illinois, on Thursday, October 26, 1950, beginning at 11 o'clock a.m. The following members were present: President Williamson, Mr. Fornof, Mr. Herrick, Mr. Hickman, Mrs. Holt, Mr. Livingston, Mr. McLaughlin, Doctor Meyer, Mrs. Watkins. President Stoddard was present; also Provost C. R. Griffith, VicePresident A. C. Ivy, Dean Stanley W. Olson of the College of Medicine, Dean C. C. Caveny of the Chicago Undergraduate Division, Comptroller Lloyd Morey, Professor W. C. Huntington, Chairman of the University Building Program Committee, Mr. Howard Hazleton, Business Manager of the Chicago Colleges, Mr. J. F. Wright, Director of Public Information, Mr. Irvin L. Porter, Treasurer, and Mr. A. J. Janata, Secretary of the Board. MINUTES APPROVED The Secretary presented the minutes of the meeting of July 25, 1950, press proof copies of which had been sent to the Trustees on October 19, 1950. On motion of Mrs. Watkins, these minutes were approved as printed on pages 1 to 334, inclusive. 427
