The insurance would be written for one year but the company would be advised that it is the intention of the University to extend the policy for at least one additional year. These proposals have been reviewed by the Finance Committee and approval is recommended by that Committee. I concur and recommend approval.

On motion of Dr. Meyer, these recommendations were adopted.

Such purchases are made on the basis of current market prices when suitable stock is available, and payment is due immediately. Under such conditions, it is impractical to request the approval of the Board of Trustees prior to each transaction. The Director of Purchases, the Comptroller, and Professor J. B. Andrews of the College of Agriculture who supervises the Wright Farms, request authority to purchase feeding cattle substantially in accordance with the above schedule when such purchases are recommended by the farms manager. All such purchases will be reported to the Board of Trustees. They will be financed from the income of the Wright F a r m operations.

On motion of Mr. McLaughlin, these purchases were authorized as recommended.

DEPARTMENT OF PHYSICAL MEDICINE AND REHABILITATION (24) T h e Dean of the College of Medicine and the Vice-President in charge of the Chicago Professional Colleges recommend that the name of the Department of Physical Medicine, in the College of Medicine and the Research and Educational Hospitals, be changed to Department of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation. I concur.

On motion of Dr. Meyer, this change was made as recommended.
