ACQUISITION O F P R O P E R T Y AT 1 0 0 9 W E S T G R E E N S T R E E T . URBANA (1) The Board of Trustees on November 28, 1961, approved the design of the Illinois Street Residence Halls for single students, to be constructed in the area between Green Street and Illinois Street, Urbana, east of the present Student Staff Apartments. Construction is scheduled to start in the fall of 1962 with occupancy in the fall of 1964. In order to assure that the site is available to meet the time schedule, representatives of the University have been negotiating for the purchase of the property at 1009 West Green Street, Urbana, which is the only remaining parcel not owned by the University in the area required for construction of the halls, with the understanding that this property must be made available by not later than July 1, 1962.
