(14) Two years ago President Chase invited the American Historical Association to hold one of its annual meetings, which are usually held the last week of December, at the University of Illinois. This invitation was renewed at the meeting of the Association in Toronto in 1932 and was accepted for the meeting m l 933. It has been customary for institutions at which such meetings are held to provide certain entertainment for the members, including a dinner and a reception. A committee of the faculty is working out plans to handle this meeting. I request authority to extend to the Association such institutional courtesies as are the common and recognized practice at other universities and colleges. On motion of M r . Barr, this authority was granted.
