APPROPRIATION F O R MCKINLEY HOSPITAL DEFICIT

(6) A recommendation from the Comptroller that an appropriation of $8,500, or st> much thereof as may be necessary, be made from the Reserve and Contingent Fund to cover expenses for the McKinley Hospital in excess of the income for the year ending June 30, 1933. On motion of Mr. Trees, this appropriation was made, by the following vote: Aye, Mr. Armstrong, Mr. Barr, Mr. Barrett, Mrs. Freeman, Dr. Meyer, Mr. Trees, Mr. Williams; no, none; absent, Mr. Blair, Mrs. Hopkins, Mr. Horner, Mr. Karraker.

REAPPROPRIATION O F UNEXPENDED BALANCES

APPOINTMENT O F PROFESSOR M. T . M c C L U R E AS ACTING DEAN OF T H E COLLEGE OF L I B E R A L ARTS A N D SCIENCES

(8) A recommendation that Professor M. T. McClure, Head of the Department of Philosophy, be appointed Acting Dean of the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences, effective when Dean A. H. Daniels becomes Acting President of the University, and continuing until September 1, 1934, at a salary rate of $7,660 a year, or a basic salary, before applying the two salary reductions adopted by the Board, of $9,000. On motion of Dr. Meyer, this appointment was made.

APPOINTMENT O F HARRIS F. FLETCHER AS ASSOCIATE DEAN OF L I B E R A L ARTS A N D SCIENCES

(9) A recommendation that Harris F. Fletcher, Assistant Dean of the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences and Associate Professor of English, be appointed Associate Dean of the College and Associate Professor of English, effective September I, 1933. On motion of Mr. Barr, this appointment was made.
