(May 25, 1933) Mathys, Delia, To give instruction in Library Science in the Summer Session of 1933, beginning June 19 and ending August 12, 1933, at a cash compensation of two hundred fifty dollars ($250) for the session. (May 25, 1933) Melnick, Perry Julius, Instructor in Pathology and Bacteriology, in the College of Medicine, for five months beginning January I, 1933, at a cash compensation at the rate of thirty-five dollars ($35) a month, and for three months beginning June 1, 1933, without salary (this supersedes his previous appointment). Barrett, an emergency meeting of the Board of Trustees was held at 11 o'clock a.m. on Tuesday, June 27, 1933, at the St. Nicholas Hotel, in Springfield. The following members were present: President Barrett, Mr. Armstrong, Mr. Barr, Mr. Blair, Mrs. Freeman, Mr. Karraker, Mr. Williams. President Chase was present; also Mr. Janata, Professor Morey, and Judge Johnson. STATUS OF APPROPRIATION BILL President Chase made a statement concerning the status of the University appropriation bill. This matter was fully discussed. At 1:30 p.m. the Board took a recess, to meet in Governor Horner's office at 3:30 p.m. A F T E R N O O N SESSION, J U N E 27, 1933 When the Board met with Governor Horner at the Governor's office in Springfield on the afternoon of Tuesday, June 27, 1933, the following members were present: President Barrett, Mr. Armstrong, Mr. Barr, Mrs. Freeman, Governor Horner, Mr. Karraker, Mr. Williams. President Chase was present; also Mr. Janata, Professor Morey, and Judge Johnson.
