That the present regulations requiring four semesters of training in Physical Education be modified by permitting students to gain credit in this subject by means of proficiency examinations. 2. That such examinations be given at the end of each semester and that they be so designed and administered as to result in a reduction each semester in the number enrolled in Physical Education equal to about one-fourth of the total number of students in the class until, a t the end of their fourth semester in college, all of the members of any class who have done satisfactory work will have completed the requirements either by passing the regular courses or the proficiency examinations. 3.
