BOARD OF TRUSTEES

[September 28

( N W J 4 ) of Section Thirty-three (33), Township Six (6) South, Range Three (3) l a s t of the Third Principal Meridian. Containing T w o Hundred and eighty (280) acres more or less. Subject, however, to a prior conveyance of the coal, oil and gas, with certain surface and mining privileges, as shown on record in the Recorder's Office in Franklin County, Illinois.

BUDGET O F T H E ATHLETIC ASSOCIATION

Mr. Trees, for the Finance Committee, presented also the budget of the Athletic Association for the current year. On motion of Mr. Trees, the budget as submitted by the Athletic Association was adopted as a tentative budget, subject to modification by the Board at any time during the period covered by the budget.

PRELIMINARY SURVEY O F ACCOUNTS

Mr. Trees, for the Finance Committee, presented a request that Arthur Anderson and Company be authorized to make a preliminary survey of the accounts of the University (without expense to the University) in order that they might submit a proposal for the auditing of the accounts. On motion of Mr. Trees, this authority was granted.

INVESTMENT OF TRUST FUNDS

Mr. Trees, for the Finance Committee, reported that there are uninvested trust funds amounting to $4500. On motion of Mrs. Hopkins, the Finance Committee was authorized and instructed to invest these funds in proper securities.

DATE OF OCTOBER MEETING

On motion of Mr. Barr, the Board voted to hold the October meeting in Urbana, at one o'clock p.m. on Friday, October 14, 1932.
