R E P O R T O F AUDIT O F UNIVERSITY A C C O U N T S (28) T h e following report from Arthur Young and Company, Accountants and Auditors, of their audit of the University's accounts for the quarter ending J u n e 30, 1932; and also a report of their audit for the year ending June 30, 1932. W e have audited the books of the University of Illinois for the quarter ended J u n e 30, 1932, and submit the following summary of the work done and the result of the audit. The cash receipts were verified by checking all cash receipts vouchers into the cash book and examining a substantial portion of the original departmental records. Cash received as recorded has been duly deposited with the University Treasurer. T h e warrants drawn on the University Treasurer and those certified to by the State Auditor were checked into the cash book and a substantial portion of the supporting vouchers was examined with respect to the authorization, object of expenditure and receipt of goods or services by the University. A number of payroll vouchers of non-appointees was checked against the original time report on file in the respective departments. Salaries paid to appointees were checked against the Secretary's letters of appointment. T h e footings of the cash book were proved. The cash balances in the hands of the University Treasurer and the exTreasurer of the University at June 30, 1932, were verified by confirmation from the depositories, as follows: Frank M.
