Contracts and bids onfilein the office of the Supervising Architect have been checked against reports made to the Board of Trustees as shown in the minutes of the meetings of the Board. Subject to the above comments on the University's funds at the First National Bank, Champaign, w e hereby certify that, so far as w e have been able to ascertain by an extended detail examination, All income which the University should have received during the quarter ended March 31, 1932, has been received and duly accounted for. All disbursements have been made for University purposes and have been properly authorized and the expenditures have been correctly recorded in the books of account. The cash and securities as shown by the books at March 31, 1932, are correct in amount and have been verified by actual inspection, count, or confirmation from the depository. The report of the Comptroller to the Board of Trustees as at March 31, 1932, a copy of which is attached hereto, is in accordance with the books and, in our opinion, is correct. Thefinancialreport of the Comptroller to the Governor of the State of Illinois for the period beginning July 1, 1931, and ending March 31, 1932, is in accordance with the books and, in our opinion, is correct. RESOLUTIONS CONCERNING EXPERIMENT FIELDS AT PALESTINE A N D SPRING VALLEY (23) The following resolutions authorizing the conveyance of the agricultural experiment fields at Palestine and Spring Valley in accordance with the action of the Board of Trustees at its meeting on April 20, 1932 (Minutes, page 570): RESOLUTION W H E R E A S , The Trustees of Schools of Township numbered Seven, North Range numbered Eleven West of the Second Principal Meridian, of Crawford County did on the 13th day of March, A.D. 1919, by Warranty Deed, convey to the University of Illinois the described land, to wit: Beginning at a point Thirteen and one-half (13^2) rods North and T w o hundred and eighty-seven and six-tenths (287.6) feet West of the South-east corner of the South-west quarter of section numbered Thirtyfour (34) township numbered seven (7) north, range numbered eleven (11) west of the second principal meridian, running thence west T w o hundred and twenty-nine and four-tenths (229.4) feet, thence north Three hundred and ninety-seven and onefourth (397X) feet, thence west Sixty-two and two-thirds (62%) rods, thence south Six hundred and twenty (620) feet, thence east Seventy-six andfifty-sevenhundredths (76.57) rods, thence north, T w o hundred and twenty-two and three-fourths (222^) feet to place of beginning, situated in Crawford County of the State of Illinois, which deed provided that when the grantee ceases to use the same for two years as an agricultural experiment station, then the ownership of said land shall revert to the grantors, which deed was accepted by the University of Illinois and recorded in the Recorder's office of Crawford County, Book 5, on page 137, and, W H E R E A S , the said University has discontinued the use of the said land for agricultural experiments, therefore, the said land ceases to be useful to the said University, T H E R E F O R E , B E I T R E S O L V E D that the Board of Trustees of the University of Illinois, in a meeting regularly assembled, renounce all title and rights derived through and under said deed and direct the President and the Secretary of this Board of Trustees to execute and deliver to the Trustees of Schools of Township possession and agents of the North foreverQuit ClaimEleven West said to surrender up the the said land,Crawford andseal of of said Universityreconveying to them Principal Meridian, Seven, said University numbered are hereby directeddeed andall rights in numbered of said land the Range athe Illinois the same. the of the Second the officers affixing County, abandon Deed to
