O n motion of M r . Barr, the a b o v e resolution w a s adopted, b y the following vote: A y e , M r . Armstrong. M r . Barr, M r . Barrett, M r s . Grigsby, D r . Noble, M r . Trees, M r . Williams; no, n o n e ; absent, M r . Blair, M r . E m m e r s o n , M r s . H o p k i n s . RESOLUTION W H E R E A S , I. J. JagodzinBki did on the 7th day of February, A.D. 1914, by Warranty Deed, convey to the University of Illinois the described land, to wit: A part of the West Half of the Southwest Quarter of Section Thirty-four (34) in Township Sixteen (16) North, Range Eleven (n) East of the Fourth Principal Meridian, described as follows, to wit: Commencing at a point on the East line of the West Half of the Southwest Quarter of said Section Thirty-four (34) one hundred fifty (150) feet South of the Northeast corner of the said West Half of said Southwest Quarter Section, and running thence West four hundred thirty-five and 92/100 (435.92) feet, thence South one hundred seventy-seven and 52/100 (177.52) feet, thence West one hundred thirty-three (133) feet to a point which is three hundred twenty-seven and 52/100 (327.52) feet South of the Northwest corner of Lot No. Two (2) in the Southwest Quarter of said Section Thirty-four (34), and thence South eleven hundred eighty and 61/100 (1180.61) feet, thence East five hundred sixty-two and 92/100 (562.92) feet, and thence North to the point of beginning, containing seventeen and 93/1000 (17.093) acres, more or less; excepting and reserving however all of the underlying coal andfireclay,together with the right to dig, mine and remove the same, without entering upon or occupying any part of the surface of said premises; situated in the County of Bureau and State of Illinois, which deed provided that when the grantee ceases to use the same for two years as an agriculture experiment station, then the ownership of said land shall revert to the Trustees of Schools of Township Sixteen (16) North, Range Eleven (11) East of the Fourth Principal Meridian, and also of Fractional Township Fifteen (15) North, Range Eleven (n) East of the Fourth Principal Meridian, a body politic and corporate of the County of Bureau and State of Illinois, and to their successors in office as said Trustees, which deed was accepted by the University of Illinois and recorded in the Recorder's office of Bureau County, Book 168, page 256, and, W H E R E A S , the said University has discontinued the use of the said land for agricultural experiments, therefore, the said land ceases to be useful to the said University, T H E R E F O R E , B E I T R E S O L V E D that the Board of Trustees of the University of Illinois, in a meeting regularly assembled, renounce all title and rights derived through and under said deed and direct the President and the Secretary of this Board of Trustees to execute and deliver to The Trustees of Schools of Township Sixteen (16) North, Range Eleven (11) East of the Fourth Principal Meridian, and also of Fractional Township Fifteen (15) North, Range Eleven (11) East of the Fourth Principal Meridian, a Quit Claim Deed reconveying to them all rights in the said land, affixing the seal of the said University to the said deed and the officers and agents of the said University of Illinois are hereby directed to surrender up the possession of said land and forever abandon the same.
