512 board OF TRUSTEES [February 5 5. All records shall be kept in a form prescribed by the University and shall be open to inspection by the University. 6. A n itemized statement in a form prescribed by the University is to be furnished monthly. 7. Prices shall be subject to adjustment quarterly if the volume of charity work is more or less than herein stated, such adjustment to be made by conference of both parties. 8. All materials furnished are to be of uniform first quality and patients shall have choice of frames as follows: (a) Gold-filled, one-tenth—twelve carat (b) Shell inner rim (c) All shell rim N o solid gold frames will be provided. N o steel or aliminico frames will be dispensed to any case. A suitable spectacle case will be supplied to the patient without extra charge with each new pair of glasses. 9. Only leading wholesale houses, manufacturers, and distributors of standard quality merchandise free from defects will be invited to compete. The contract will be awarded on the basis of lowest prices, ability of the company to render the regular service and diversification of standard optical merchandise which it proposes to supply. 10. The contract will be for an indeterminate period and subject to termination by either party on sixty days' notice. I recommend approval of these arrangements. O n m o t i o n of D r . RECEIPT OF FUNDS FOR STUDY OF STREPTOCOCCUS (22) A report from the Acting Comptroller that he has received the sum of $1500 from the Certified Milk Producers Association of America to be used for the study of the Toxins of the Streptococcus Epidemicus by the College of Medicine in accordance with the agreement which was approved by the Board at its meeting on December 4, 1929 (Minutes, page 451). Payment of the remaining $2000 of the $3500 provided for in this agreement is promised for March, 1930. This report was received for record. REBATE ON ASSESSMENT FOR SCOTT SANITARY SEWER (23) A report from the Acting Comptroller of the receipt of $136.92 from the City of Champaign to cover partial rebates on special assessments on account of the Scott Sanitary sewer, and that an additional rebate on this assessment of $643.81 will be paid when the city has available funds. PHOSPHORUS TEST SOLUTION ROYALTIES (24) A report from the Acting Comptroller of the receipt of $10.94 from the Urbana Laboratories, Urbana, in payment of royalties due in accordance with the contract with that concern covering the manufacture and distribution of the solution known as "thefieldtest for available phosphorus in soils," covering the period from November 21, 1929, when the payment of royalties became effective, to December 31, 1929. PURCHASE OF TRUCK FOR DEPARTMENT OF DAIRY HUSBANDRY (25) A report that, on recommendation of the Acting Purchasing Agent, concurred in by the Supervising Architect and the Acting Comptroller, the Department of Dairy Husbandry was authorized by m e to purchase a one-ton Reo motor truck for its use in dairy manufactures work at a net price of $1,075, out of funds provided in the Department's budget. This purchase was made on the basis of quotations secured from local dealers handling the stylefigure. which is needed for this work, the Reo people having quoted the lowest of truck
