APPROPRIATIONS FOR BOILER HOUSE. ETC. (9) In accordance with action of the Board at its meetings of April 12 and June 14, 1924, I recommend that appropriations from the Reserve and Contingent Fund be made as follows: I. For addition to the Boiler House supplementing appropriation of #10,000 previously made (see minutes, June 14, 1924)... .#10,000.00 2. For service extensions to McKinley Hospital 20,000.00 3. For service extensions to Dairy Manufactures Building 17,000.00 4. Additional payment on new wells, as per recommendation of Supervising Architect 5,000.00 5. For 500 kw. turbine 15,000.00 Total $67,000.00 O n motion of M r . Trimble, these appropriations were m a d e , b y the following vote: A y e , M r . Armstrong, M r s . Blake, M r s . Busey, M r s . Evans, M r s . Grigsby, M r s . Ickes, M r . Noble, M r . Trees, M r . Trimble; no, none; absent, M r . Blair, M r . Small. PAVING AND DAIRY BARN APPROPRIATIONS (10) A. In accordance with previous action of the Board, I recommend that an appropriation of #50,000 be made from the Reserve and Contingent Fund for the paving of Fourth Street and approaches to the Stadium. (See minutes, April 12, June 14, 1924.) . . . B. Complying with a request of the Supervising Architect, I recommend that an appropriation of #20,000 be made to supplement the #50,000 assigned for the erection of a Dairy Barn. O n motion of M r . INVESTMENT OF GREGORY SCHOLARSHIP FUND (11) A suggestion from the Comptroller, concurred in by both Mr. Trimble and Mr. Burke, that the United States Treasury Bonds, of a value of #3,000, bearing 454 per cent, and purchased at #99.98, for the Gregory Scholarship Fund be sold; that the Treasurer be authorized to make this sale; and that tie Treasurer be authorized to invest the proceeds in real estate mortgages and loans to members of the faculty, at 6 per cent interest, or in Joint Stock Land Bank bonds bearing 4^4 or 5 per cent, as they may be obtained. I recommend approval. This matter w a s referred to the Finance Committee for consideration and report.

STORAGE WAREHOUSE

(12) A recommendation that #5,000, or so much thereof as may be necessary, be appropriated from the Reserve and Contingent Fund for the erection of a warehouse 30 feet by 80 feet, with steel frame, galvanized corrugated iron walls and roof, and a concretefloor,on a site near our present Physical Plant store house. This is in accordance with the recommendations of the Superintendent of Business Operations.
