Cunningham, Secretary The Board of Trustees of the University of Illinois has appointed you to the following position in the University: (for the year) payable in monthly install( a year ) ments, in addition to (a) death benefits and (b) retirement privileges according to the schedule of retiring allowances and death benefits adopted by the Board of Trustees on December 13, 1924. This appointment is made subject to the statutes of the University relating to the officers of instruction and administration and the scientific staff. It is expressly understood and is accepted as a condition of this appointment that no right of continuance is established by the contract or its fulfillment. Please indicate on the duplicate sheet your action on this appointment, whether you accept or decline, and mail it to me at your earliest convenience. This appointment is not complete as a contract until the signed acceptance is filed in the office of the Secretary. Sincerely yours, Secretary O n motion of M r . SALE OF VIENNA EXPERIMENT PLAT (4) The Dean of the College of Agriculture and Director of the Agricultural Experiment Station recommends the sale of the land near Vienna, Illinois, which has been used as an experimental plat for several years, the experiments now having been concluded, for the sum of #500 to Mr. C. C. Simmons and that a deed be made to him accordingly. I concur and recommend the adoption of the following resolution: RESOLUTION Whereas The Board of Trustees on November 15, 1924, in regular meeting authorized the sale of the Experiment Field located in Johnson County near Vienna, And Whereas it is now proposed to sell thatfieldto C. C. Simmons, And Whereas the property to be sold is described as follows: Beginning at a point 20 ft. E. of the N. W . corner of the N. W . J4 of the N. E. 54 of Sec. 9, run thence S. 350 ft., thence E. 1062 ft. to the R. R.right-of-wayof the Cleveland, Cincinnati, Chicago & St. Louis Railway Company, thence run along said line of right-of-way in a northwesterly direction 1173 ft., thence run in a southwesterly direction in the S. W . % of the S. E. % of Sec. 868 ft. to the place of beginning, containing 16 acres more or less. All of said land is situated in Twp. 13 S. of the base line, R. 3 E. of the 3rd P. M . N o w Therefore, W . L. Noble, President, and H. E. Cunningham, Secretary, of the Board of Trustees of the University of Illinois, are hereby authorized and directed to execute, acknowledge, and deliver in its name a good and sufficient warranty deed of the premises above described to C.
