(16) The president of the University, with the concurrence of the appropriate administrative officers, recommends the award of the following contracts for common area improvements in the Illinois Street Residence Halls at the Urbana campus. The award in each case is to the lowest responsible bidder on its base bid plus acceptance of the alternates indicated. Division I — General Grunloh Construction, Effingham Base Bid Alt. G-l Alt. It is further recommended that the contracts, other than the contract for general work, be assigned to the contractor for general workFunds are available from the proceeds of the Auxiliary Facilities System, Series 1991 Revenue Bond issue. A schedule of the bids received and a description of the alternates have been filed with the secretary of the board for record. The project consists of the construction of an entrance addition and the remodeling of existing administrative, lounge, study, meeting, and exercise areas at the Illinois Street Residence Halls. General electric and mechanical systems work consists of both new work and replacement of and modifications to existing areas and systems.
