Employment of Architect/Engineer, Renovation of Single Student Residence, Chicago

(26) T h e renovation of the Single Student Residence is a project included in the Auxiliary Facilities System, Series 1991 Revenue Bond issue. T h e proposed $3.2 million renovation project of the 235-unit complex will be over a period of approximately three years. T h e president of the University, with the concurrence of the appropriate administrative officers, recommends the employment of Ross Barney & Jankowski, Inc., Chicago, for the professional architectural and engineering services required for the renovation of the Single Student Residence at the Chicago campus. T h e firm's fee for the professional services required for the planning and construction phases of the project will be on an hourly rate basis, the total not to exceed $91,800 plus reimbursements estimated to be $9,100. Funds are available from the proceeds of the Auxiliary Facilities System, Series 1991 Revenue Bond issue. A schedule of the firm's hourly rates has been filed with the secretary of the board for record.

On motion of Mrs. Gravenhorst, this recommendation was approved by the following vote: Aye, Dr. Bacon, Mr. Boyle, Mrs. Calder, Mr. Grabowski, Mrs. Gravenhorst, Mr. Lamont, Ms. Reese, Mrs. Shepherd, Mr. WolfF; no, none; absent, Governor Edgar. Employment of Architect/Engineer, Remodeling for Surgery Clinic, Clinical Sciences Building, Chicago

(27) T h e president of the University, with the concurrence of the appropriate administrative officers, recommends the employment of Warman Olsen Warman, Ltd., Chicago, for the professional architectural and engineering services required for the expansion and renovation of the surgical clinic on the first floor of the Clinical Sciences Building at Chicago. T h e $623,500 project will provide a 5,000 gross square foot modern, multifunctional surgical outpatient clinic. T h e firm's fee for the professional services required for the planning and construction phases of the project will be a fixed fee of $52,838 plus reimbursements estimated to be $5,162. Funds for this project are available from the Chicago Medical Services Plan.
