M E E T I N G OF T H E B O A R D O F T R U S T E E S —OF T H E ^ UNIVERSITY OF ILLINOIS July 17,1917 A special meeting of the Board of Trustees of the University of Illinois was held in the Trustees' room, at the University, at Urbana, at 10 a. m. on Tuesday, July 17, 1917, pursuant to the following notice which was sent out by the Secretary on July 9: On the call of the President, Mr. W. L. Abbott, there will be a special meeting of the Board of Trustees of the University of Illinois, in the Trustees' Room, at the University, at Urbana, at 10 o'clock a. m. on Tuesday, July 17, 1917, to consider such matters as the committees of the Board and the President of the University may submit, and such other matters as may be duly presented. When the Board convened, the following members were present: President Abbott, Mrs. Busey, Mr. Carr, Mrs. Evans, Mr. Hoit, Mr. Taggart, Mr. Ward, Miss Watson. Mr. Cairo A. Trimble, of Princeton, whom Governor Lowden had appointed to membership on the Board to serve the unexpired tern* of Mrs. Ellen M. Henrotin, resigned, was present for the first time. President James was present; and also, during part of the day, Professor J. M. White, Supervising Architect. MINUTES APPROVED The Secretary presented the minutes of the meetings of June 12 and June 25, 1917. On motion of Mrs. Evans, the minutes were approved as printed on pages 349 to 395 above. 39?
