AN ACT making appropriations for the maintenance and extension of the various departments of the University of Illinois. SECTION 1. Be it enacted "by the People of the State ofJUinois, represented in the General Assembly: 1. That there be and is hereby appropriated per biennium to -the University of Illinois for the payment of salaries and for the ordinary operating expenses, the sum of five hundred seventy-five thousand dollars ($575,000.00)' per annum $1,150,000 00 2.
