Foreword

— The years 1946-1930 have been among the most challenging, the most dramatic, the most fruitful in the 82-year history of the University Illinois. The Board of [Yustet has been humble in the face of the obligations placed on the University during th ars and it has been proud of the accomplishments. Perhaps m< re than anything else, the Board has been proud of two thin : that th University has been able to keep its promise to the returnin GFa and that the t increase in the University's size has not been i ide at the cost of quality.
