PEASE, J rent By vote of the University of Illinois Senate a committee has been created for an inquiry into the University's educational organization and processes. It is desired that its work be as thorough as po ible. With a view to obtaining part of the information desired this questionnaire is being sent to all persons offering instruction in the University of Illinois. Naturally very many of these questions will not seem to fit your activities but it is asked that you endeavor so far as possible to determine in all cases the information that will be of value to th committee and to state that information as specifically as po iblc The main thing that the University committee has in mind is to induce you to ask yourself what is the essential purpose of each course you are giving and how you with the University's assistance can, if po.^ sible, make that course more effective.
