gifts or donations of some amount, however large or small, to be used for the benefit of the University. In its thirty-six years of existence about $7,000,000 has been given by its alumni to Yale. A survey of alumni funds in general shows that the Association of Alumni Funds now has a membership of more than sixty executives connected with such projects throughout the United States, and many thousands of dollars are being given annually to the respective universities; It is the hope of the Alumni Association and the Alumni Fund Board that our alumni and former students will contribute so generously to this first project as to make it an immediate success and to encourage future worthy undertakings for the benefit of our Alma Mater.
