Land (irant Endowment Fund 39 Spalding to the trusties of the Iniversity of Illinois, and now remaining in the hands of said commission, us said commission, in its discretion, may deem proper. Said commission is further authorized and empowered to settle, adjust, and compromise the claim of the said Charles VV. Spalding for an accounting against the Iniversity of Illinois, and the various persons who have, from time to time, composed said commission or who have acted as trustee, or trustees. Sue. 2. That there IK- and hereby is appropriated the sum of ten thousand dollars ($10,000) for the purpose of carrying into effect the provisions of this Act. and compromising the claims of the said Charles W. Spalding against the Iniversity of Illinois, and the various persons who have from time to time, been mcmWrs of such commission, or have acted as trustee, or trustees. The Auditor of Public Accounts is hereby authorized and directed to draw his warrants for the sum herein appropriated, upon the presentation of proper vouchers, certified to by a majority of the members of said commission, and the Treasurer shall pav the same out of any money not otherwise appropriated.
