introduction.

A Sangamon State University's Public AfA, fairs Center is a physical expression of the University's special mandate to ad> dress public affairs within a liberal arts gA framework. The building cost $20 million and took nine years to develop and construct. With a performing arts center, classrooms and flexible conference space. It is designed to accommodate a wide range of activities. The PAC also houses administrative and academic offices as well as necessary support services, plus the University's four public affairs centers — The Illinois legislative Studies Center, The Center for the Study af Middle-Size Cities, the Center for Policy Studies and Program Evaluation and the Center for Legal Studies. Expanded facilities enable each of these applied research and service centers to better serve the citizens of Illinois.
