The chancellor at the Medical Center campus has recommended approval. The vice president for administration concurs. I recommend approval. The student advisory vote was: Aye, Miss Cordon, Mr. Overstreet; no, none; absent, Miss Winter. On motion of Mr. Livingston, this recommendation was approved by the following vote: Aye, Mr. Forsyth, Mr. Halm, Mr. Howard, Mr. Livingston, Mr. Neal, Mrs. Rader, Mrs. Shepherd, Mr. Velasquez; no, none; absent, Mr. Lenz, Governor Thompson.

Contract for Masonry Restoration for Talbot Laboratory, Urbana

(33) T h e president of the University, with the concurrence of the appropriate administrative officers, recommends the award of a contract, subject to the availability of funds, for $23,611 to Coatings Application & Waterproofing Company, St. Louis, Missouri, the low bidder, for masonry restoration for Talbot Laboratory at the Urbana campus. Funds are available in the state appropriations to the University for FY 1978.

The student advisory vote was: Aye, Miss Conlon, Mr. Overstreet; no, none; absent, Miss Winter. On motion of Mr. Hahn, this contract was awarded by the following vote: Aye, Mr. Forsyth, Mr. Hahn, Mr. Howard, Mr. Livingston, Mr. Neal, Mrs. Rader, Mrs. Shepherd, Mr. Velasquez; no, none; absent, Mr. Lenz, Governor Thompson.

Employment of Architect/Engineer for Veterinary Medicine Basic Sciences Building, Urbana

(34) T h e president of the University, with the concurrence of appropriate administrative officers, recommends that the Capital Development Board be requested to employ Lester B. Knight & Associates, Inc., Chicago, to provide the professional architectural and engineering services in the planning and construction of the Veterinary Medicine Basic Sciences Building at the Urbana-Champaign campus. The Eightieth General Assembly appropriated $900,000 to the Capital Development Board for planning for FY 1978. T h e fee will be on a lump sum basis and will not exceed $900,000.

On motion of Mr. Neal, this recommendation was approved by the following vote: Aye, Mr. Forsyth, Mr. Howard, Mr. Livingston, Mr. Neal, Mrs. Rader, Mrs. Shepherd, Mr. Velasquez; no, none; absent, Mr. Lenz, Governor Thompson. Mr. Hahn asked to be recorded as not voting.
