Plan for Noninstructional Capital Improvement

(18) As part of the submission requirements for RAMP (Resource Allocation and Management Plan) — FY 1978, plans for noninstructional capital improvements to be accomplished between November 1976 and November 1977 must be submitted to the Board of Higher Education for approval. Eight such projects were approved by the Board of Trustees in October 1976. The following additional project is planned: Completion of Great Circle Hall, Chicago Circle Center, Chicago Circle Campus $950 000 A feasibility study has been completed which analyzed the type and size of food and beverage service which would best fulfill the student requirements and provide informal space for lounging, study, conversation, eating, and entertainment. It is anticipated that the architect can complete contract documents by September 1977, after which time the project would be advertised for bid. Funds are available from the Reserve for Continuing Operation and Development of the Congress Circle Union Bonds, Series A and B of 1963. The President of the University, with the concurrence of appropriate administrative officers, recommends approval of this project, subject to further action by the Illinois Board of Higher Education.
