Appointment to the Center for Advanced Study, Urbana

(14) The Dean of the Graduate College at Urbana, in consultation with the Director of the Center for Advanced Study and an advisory selection committee of Center Professors, has recommended that Ladislav Zgusta, Professor of Linguistics, be appointed as a Professor in the Center for Advanced Study, 1 effective September 21, 1974. T h e Chancellor at Urbana-Champaign and the Vice President for Academic Development and Coordination concur in this recommendation. I recommend approval. O n m o t i o n of M r . L i v i n g s t o n , this r e c o m m e n d a t i o n w a s a p p r o v e d .

Sabbatical Leave of Absence, 1974-75

(15) T h e Chancellor at Chicago Circle has recommended that the following faculty member be given a sabbatical leave of absence in accordance with the provisions of the University of Illinois Statutes and on the terms and for the period indicated. T h e program of research, study, and travel for which leave is requested has been examined by the Research Board at the Chicago Circle campus, and the Vice President for Academic Development and Coordination has reviewed the application for the leave and recommends approval.
