380 BOARD OF TRUSTEES [September 17 T h e Illinois Department of Registration and Education has notified the University that, pursuant to Section 20 of the Illinois Public Accounting Act, it has completed proceedings with respect to these individuals which resulted in the nonregistration, or in the revocation, suspension, or cancellation of their registrations by the Department based upon their convictions of felonies by the Federal courts. U n d e r Section 22 of the Illinois Public Accounting Act, upon receipt of such notifications "without further proceedings, the University shall revoke the certificate as a certified public accountant, if any has been issued by it, to said applicant or person." Accordingly, the Committee on Accountancy recommends that the Board of Trustees revoke these certificates. I concur. O n motion of M r . Howard, these certificates were revoked. Award of Certified Public Accountant Certificates (6) T h e Committee on Accountancy recommends that the certificate of Certified Public Accountant be awarded to 744 candidates who passed the standard written examination given in May 1975 in Illinois and who have fulfilled all other legal requirements under Sections 1, 2, and 3 of the Illinois Accountancy Act of 1943 as amended. T h e names of the candidates have been filed with the Secretary. T h e Committee on Accountancy, pursuant to Rule 16 (d) of the Regulations, also recommends that the certificate of Certified Public Accountant be awarded to six candidates who wish to transfer the examination credit earned by passing the standard written examination in some other state and who have fulfilled all other legal requirements under Sections 1, 2, and 3 of the Illinois Accountancy Act of 1943 as amended. T h e names of the candidates have been filed with the Secretary. T h e Committee also recommends that the certificate of Certified Public Accountant be awarded, under Section 5 of the Illinois Accountancy Act of 1943, as amended, to fifteen candidates who have presented evidence that they are holders of valid and unrevoked Certified Public Accountant certificates obtained by passing a standard written examination in another state or territory of the United States and who qualify in all other respects under this provision of the law.
