O n motion of Mr. Livingston, the foregoing resolution was adopted by the following vote: Aye, Mr. Forsyth, Mr. H a h n , Mr. Howard, Mr. Lenz, Mr. Livingston, Mr. Neal, Mrs. Rader, Mrs. Shepherd, Mr. Velasquez; no, none; absent, Governor Walker. SECRETARY'S REPORT T h e Secretary presented for record appointments to the faculty and changes of status made by the President; resignations; leaves of absence; changes in sabbatical leaves of absence; 1 and retirements. A copy of the report is filed with the Secretary. ANNOUNCEMENTS FROM THE PRESIDENT OF THE BOARD Future Meetings President Neal called attention to the schedule of regular meetings for the remainder of the fiscal year: April 16, Medical Center; May 21, Chicago Circle; June 18, site to be announced. Mr. Neal asked that the administration consider the best location for the June 18 meeting and present a report on this matter at the April meeting. VICE PRESIDENT OF THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES Mr. H a h n raised a question as to the desirability of the Board creating an officer, Vice President, to serve in the absence of the President and moved that the administration be requested to study this subject as to its feasibility and to report at the next meeting. T h e motion was approved. There being no further business, the Board adjourned.

1 Landing, James E., Associate Professor of Geography at Chicago Circle, sabbatical leave of absence for the winter and spring quarters of 1974-75, three-fourths pay, changed to the spring quarter 1974-75, full pay. Miller, Oscar, Dean, Office of Student Affairs, and Professor of Economics at Chicago Circle, sabbatical leave of absence for six months beginning March 1, 1975, full pay, cancelled without prejudice. Adler, Felix T., Professor of Physics at Urbana-Champaign, sabbatical leave of absence for the second semester 1974-75, cancelled without prejudice.
