WILLIAM MAXWELL, editor on the staff of the New Yorker magazine — the degree of Doctor of Letters. THOMAS PARK, ecologist and educator, professor of biology at the University of Chicago — the degree of Doctor of Science. The Chancellor concurs in the recommendations. I recommend approval.
