(4)—Massachusetts maintains one state Agricultural college and aids the Mass. Institute of Technology, a private foundation, Harvard University also a private corporation, takes the place of a State University. (5)—Rutgers College is a private corporation but is aided by the state and is the official State College of Agriculture. (6)—While Cornell University is a private corporation the state aids in its support and management and it is therefore considered as New York State 1 land grant university.
