said corporators to call a meeting of the stockholders, whose duty it shall be to elect, by ballot, one president and five directors, including the president and one secretary, who shall be exofficio treasurer. Said board of directors shall proceed to organize said corporation, by the adoption of suitable by-laws, by purchasing a farm, on which shall be erected suitable buildings for carrying into effect the objects of said corporation. 5. The stock, property and concerns of said corporation shall be managed by said directors, who shall hold their offices for one year from their election, and until their successor shall have been elected. 6. In employing professors and teachers to impart instruction in practical agriculture and the mechanical arts to the pupils attending said institution, it shall be the duty of said directors to give said pupils an opportunity and to require of them to labor in the field, in the workshop or in the laboratory one-half of the time, from the first of March td the first of December, to the end that all the pupils may learn the practice of productive industry as well as mental improvement, sd useful to every citizen. 7. Said directors, in locating said college and experimental farm shall be confined to that part of the State south of a line drawn east and west through the center of the state. 8. That the college and seminary lands of this state be and they are hereby donated to said corporation, with power to lease, sell, dispose of and convey the same, and to receive and collect the money arising therefrom, for the purposes of establishing, improving and carrying on said college and farm.
