Mr. Dewton also went on a special study mission t o G e r m a n y a n d spent a short time in France. He returned to U r b a n a i n October, traveling to the United States on the "Queen M a r y " w i t h t h e 63rd A r m y Division. Mr. Dewton has accepted a position as cataloger i n t h e Foreign Language Division of the Library of Congress a n d will report in Washington early in December. Georgia W . F o w l e h a s been appointed reserve shelf assistant at Flora Stone Mather College Library, Western Reserve University, Cleveland, Ohio. Robert W . Kidder h a s returned to the United States following overseas service. H e h a s been released from the Army and is expected to resume his work i n t h e Circulation Department of the University of Illinois Library in J a n u a r y . Margaret Markley accepted a new position as junior assistant in the catalog department of t h e University of Oregon Library, in September. Lucile N e u , formerly assistant in charge of government documents in the T e x a s State College for Women Library, Denton, assumed her new position a t W e s t e r n Illinois State Teachers College, Macomb, on September 7.
