Long, law librarian, University of Illinois Library, wa« married to Elmer F. Davies, Urbana attorney, in a quiet home ceremony or December 21, 1944. Mr. and Mrs. Davies are living at 703 West Green Street, Urbana, Illinois. Ernest I. Miller, president of the Michigan Library Association, has been elected to a three year term on the executive board of the Michigan Council on Education. Mr. Miller, who is chief of the Technology Department, Detroit Public Library, presented a paper on "Conservation of a Technology Collection" at the Detroit conference of the Library Binding Institute, November 15, 1944. Esther Jane Piercy has been appointed head of Technical Processes, Worcester, Massachusetts, Public Library.
