Dr. Lancaster Joins Staff

Dr. John I lerrold Lancaster, who joined the Library School v this fall with the rank of assistant professor, is on leave of ^ from his position as librarian of Heidelberg College, Tiffin Ohio**? wh he had held since 1939. ' * Tn World War I he was a lieutenant in the Infantry of Hi* i that for his U.S. degree at Ohio Wesleyan. His advanced degrees include: an A.M. from Ohio State University, a Ph.D. from Teachers College, Columbia University, and a H.S. from the Columbia School of Library Service. D r . L a n c a s t e r is t e a c h i n g courses in Library Administration and Backgrounds for Librarianship. In addition to his Library School program he is also teaching the laboratory and quiz sections of Physics v304, the mechanics phase, to an engineering group enrolled in the Army Specialized Training Program. Having had experience in teaching science in high schools and having a major in Mathematics, he is well qualiJOHN HERROLD LANCASTER fied for this work. Since 1931 Dr. Lancaster has has since Mi jjr.
