Class of 1914 Stella B. Galpin Trowbridge died on August 26, 1942, at Yonkers, Xew York. She had been in ill health for about a year. Mrs. Trowbridge was, before her marriage, a member of the University of Illinois Library stall and had always been one of our most enthusiastic and loyal alumnae. S e h had maintained an active interest in the profession, and at the Milwaukee meeting of the Association was elected one of the trustees of the scholarship endowment fund. Mrs. Trowbridge was an active community leader in Yonkers and a member of many organizations. Class of 1916 Charles H. Stone resigned his position at the College of William and Mary, Williamsburg, Virginia, and is now librarian of the Georgia Teachers College Library at Collegeboro, Georgia. Class of 1917

In the Wilson Bulletin for April, 1942, Ruth Hammond, librarian of the Wichita, Kansas, City Library, is the subject of a biographical sketch entitled "A Civilized Librarian." M e n t i o n is made that Miss Hammond
