Brophy, Jr., B.S.'42, enlisted in the army following L graduation. His address is: Hdq. Section, 1530 C.A.S.U., Fort B c n L in Harrison. Indianapolis, Indiana. George B. Brown, B.S.'37, A.M.'40, who has been promoted to captain is now stationed at Camp Hulen, Texas, where he is with the Coast Artillery Anti-aircraft. Joseph B. Grubb. B.S/42, was inducted into the army on September 19, 1942, and is now located at Camp Grant, Illinois. Robert W. Kidder, B.S.'41, who resigned his position at the University of Illinois to join the army is in the U. S. Army Signal Corps, School of Cryptography, Warrenton, Virginia. In a letter written in August he comments on the adaptability of college men and their retention of a sense of humor and perspective. Mrs. Richard Laking, the former Charlene E. King, now has a position in the Naval Training Station Library at Great Lakes, Illinois. On October 20, 1942, Charles R. Knapp, B.S/40, joined the Air Corps at Chanute Field, Illinois. H e is on military leave from his position as assistant in the Law Library of the University of Illinois. Toe Walker Kraus, B.S/39, A.M.'41, until recently in charge of the S e v e n -day Book Room at the University of Illinois Library, is no\ in the Army Signal Service. His address is: Pvt. Joe W. Kraus, 855th Signal Service Co., Scott Field, Illinois. Ralph McComb, B.S/32, M.S.'36, who until late summer was working for his doctorate at the University of Chicago, is now in the army. During October he was on maneuvers near Leesville, Louisiana. Martha Lagrone, B.S.'40, writes that she is enjoying her work at Camp Forrest, Tennessee. Lois Martin, B.S.'37, formerly at the Illinois State Library, Springfield, Illinois, has accepted a position as librarian at Camp McCoy, Wisconsin. T-u .T ' - -' the U. S. Naval Training Station Library, Norfolk, Virginia, as junior library assistant. Resigning her position as librarian of the Training High School Library at Bowling Green, Kentucky, Martha Orendorf, B.S/40. became camp librarian at Camp Campbell, Kentucky. The address of P v t .
