WINDSOR I Upon his retirement in the summer of 1940 Mr. Windsor, with Mr; Windsor started out upon a leisurely motor trip through the Northwest, We* and Southwest, returning to Urbana late in November. In February following they drove Southwest again as far as Oklahoma and Texas, there turning east and continuing their tour through the South, Southeast and East as far north as Airs. Windsor's home in Lockport, New York. They returned to Urbana in June because of Air. Windsor's illness, which necessitated his operation. During their travels the Windsors sent back to the Library School and Library interesting bulletins regarding the many alumni and other friends b y whom they were entertained or with whom they met. On March 15, Air. Windsor gave the chief address at the dedication of the new library building at Pennsylvania State College, State College, Pennsylvania. His subject was: "The Library in the Land-Grant College or University." Their friends in Urbana are glad to have the Windsors back at home once more with Air. Windsor again in good health and frequently on hand at his office in the library for consultation with faculty, staff and students. MISS K R I E G R E S I G N S Miss Amelia Krieg, Assistant Director of the Library School and Assistant Professor of Library Science has resigned to become head of the Catalog Department of the Seattle Public Library, effective January, 1941. This news came as a surprise even to those who realized that Miss Krieg has retained a deep interest in the administration of a Catalog Department as well as in actual cataloging practice. The Northwest offers a particular attraction to Miss Krieg just now as her sister, Clarice Krieg, '33, has this fall accepted a position in Eugene, Oregon. Se le s g a i n o f a n Wc £u ' .
