Martin F. Schmitt, B.S/39, resigned as librarian of Eureka College Library, Eureka, Illinois, to take up graduate work at the University of Missouri. Mr. Schmitt is also working part time in the Journalism Library and writing his thesis on libraries in schools of journalism. Sister Mary Jose Ernst, S.S/39, S.S/40, is now reference librarian of Rosary College Library at River Forest, Illinois. . Marion Sladky, B.S/39, is now Mrs. Rinehart. Dr. Rinehart is connected with Wayne University at Detroit, Michigan. L. Blanche Smith, B.S/39, resigned her position at Beloit, Wisconsin, College Library to accept a position in the Catalog Department of the John Crerar Library, Chicago, Illi nois, fall, 1941. Jean Elizabeth Smock, B.S/39, who had been branch librarian of the ^ark Ridge, Illinois, Public Library, since July, 1939, died suddenly of pneumonia while on vacation this past summer . Louise M.
