"Maiian Kanak, B.S '35 (Mrs. John C Settclmayer), will resign h*r position in the catalog department of the State University of Iowa, at Iowa July 1, 1937, and will join Mr. Settclmayer in Urbana. Mr. knd Mrs. ttehnayer will reside at 808 West California Street. Urbana. F. Loil Ott, U.S. '35, assistant in Ohio Weslevan University Delaware Ohio, has accepted a position in Northwestern University Library beginnine Jub 1. Pearl J. Sneed, B.S. '35, who has been librarian of the Canton, MissisPI>i High School for several years, is now secretary of the Mississippi Library Commission at Jackson, Mississippi. H. Dean Stallings, B.S. '35, libra Agriculture and Mechanic Arts, after four months on the job*writes*pf manwactivities and hopes and plans for next year. He is to teach a course in High School libraries to prospective teacher-librarians this summer and a course in the "Use of the library" next fall to all freshmen. He is to be in charge of the college and school section of the South Dakota State Library Association and is preparing the program now. Selecting books for a browsing room as well as planning and securing the furniture and equipment in time to open it on June 6, has been another interesting project. H e is hoping to drive to New York if he can secure several passengers. Etta M. Westenhouse, B.S. '35, resigned her position at Willamette University Library, Salem, Oregon, August 15, 1936, and is now Mrs. Judd. Mr. and Mrs. Judd are living at 1951 Chestnut Street, Berkeley, California. C. Mildred Botts, S.S. '36, assistant in the circulation department of the University of New Mexico Library, Albuquerque, New Mexico, was married in December, 1936, to Mr. Hubert Griggs Alexander. Mr. and Mrs. Alexander are living at 404 Cornell Avenue, Albuquerque, New Mexico. Helen E. Hilton, B.S. '36, has resigned her position in the order department of the State University of Iowa Library, Iowa City, to become librarian of Shurtleff College at Alton, Illinois. Arabell Peirson, B.S. '36, is an assistant in the Kitselano Branch of the Public Library of Vancouver, B.S., Canada. I Chula M. Remington, S.S. '34, S.S. '35, S.S. '36, resigned her position with the Eau Claire, Wisconsin, Public Library to go to the Edina School Library, 50th and Wooddale Streets, Minneapolis, Minnesota. Edna J. Shenton, B.S. '36, resigned her position as temporary librarian at the Marengo, Iowa, Public Library to be an assistant in the order department of the State University of Iowa Library, at Iowa City.
