Evening society dress has its proper and very befitting use but to continue it all the time would be absurd; yet, not more so than would be our workaday University buildings perpetually on architectural parade. I am afraid this does not seem helpful. However, this may be, I want to express my satisfaction, aye admiration, of the way you have taken hold of this matter, and my great hopes that something of great permanent value will be the result.
