In Senate Bill 433 "For construction of a Home Economics Building, with fixed equipment installed, including plans and specifications, extension of utilities to the building, and all other necessary costs and charges incident to the completion of the work $3 850 000 "For construction of a Law Building, with fixed equipment installed, including plans and specifications, extension of utilities to the building and all necessary costs and charges incident to the completion of the work 2 300 000 "For addition to Power and Heating Plant, including plans and specifications and fixed equipment 850 000 "For equipment for the Law Building and Home Economics Building 140 000 "For contingencies to cover expenditures for purposes for which the amount in any of the above items enumerated is, or becomes, insufficient 370 000" In House Bill 469 "For constructing and equipping a Large Animal Clinic for the College of Veterinary Medicine of the University of Illinois, including plans and specifications, extension of utilities to the building, and all other necessary costs and charges incident to the completion of the work $ 586 000" The President of the University recommends that these funds be appropriated for the purposes indicated. Recommendations for the award of contracts to be paid from these appropriations will be submitted in accordance with the usual procedure.

On motion of Mrs. Holt, these funds were appropriated as recommended. This action was taken by the following vote: Aye, Mr. Bissell, Mr. Grange, Mr. Herrick, Mrs. Holt, Mr. Johnston, Mr. Livingston, Mr. Me gran, Mr. Nickell, Mrs. Watkms; no, none; absent, Mr. Hickman, Mr. Stratton.

S P E C I A L A P P R O P R I A T I O N S FOR N O N R E C U R R I N G E X P E N D I T U R E S (14) The Committee on Nonrecurring Appropriations recommends assignments of funds from the General Reserve as follows: 1. School of Physical Education, improvement of Student Rehabilitation Center $ 1 7 600 2. University High School, improvement of lighting in the north and south attics and in the gymnasium of the University High School Building 6 530 3. University High School, remodeling and equipment in the University High School Building 13 200 4. Department of Zoology, remodeling in the Vivarium 3 500 5. College of Engineering, fire protection in the Betatron Building 8 600 6. College of Engineering, remodeling in the Electrical Engineering Annex Building to provide facilities for research in ultrasound in biology 15 000 7. Radiocarbon Laboratory, building alterations in Davenport Hall and permanent laboratory equipment 16 850 8. Institute of Aviation, purchase and erection of a Quonset building for the aircraft maintenance curriculum 16 500 9. Chicago Undergraduate Division, remodeling of quarters and equipment for the Departments of Biology and Geography 22 240 10. Physical Plant Department, painting and decorating at the Chicago Professional Colleges and the Chicago Undergraduate Division 6 817 Total $"126 837 I concur.
