All of the North-and-South public alley, Sixteen (16) feet wide, lying West of and adjoining Lots One ( i ) to Eleven ( n ) , both inclusive, and lying East of and adjoining Lots Fourteen (14) to Twenty-four (24), both inclusive, in Sturgis and other Resubdivision, aforesaid, and T o the Illinois Bell Telephone Company an easement to the strip of land described as follows: The North 332.3' of the North-and-South 16' public alley in the block bounded by S. EXTENSION OF URBANA PARK DISTRICT (17) On petition of the University the city of Urbana has extended the city limits to include the staff housing area at Race Street and Florida Avenue. Subsequently, the University was requested to assent to the expansion of the Urbana Park District to include the campus area added to the city. The Board gave its assent to the annexation on March 12, 1952, but the description of the property reported to the Board, and as recorded in the minutes of that meeting, does not include all the new area added to the city. Since it was obviously the intent of the Board to include all the University campus now within the city limits of Urbana, and to clarify this intention, it is recommended that the Board adopt the following resolution to supersede the action of March 12, 1952. to Annexation of Territory to Urbana Park District in Champaign County, Illinois WHEREAS, the Board of Trustees of the University of Illinois, a Public Corporation, is the owner of the Northwest Quarter of Section 20 and the Northeast Quarter of Section 19, in Township 19 North, Range g East of the Third Principal Meridian, in Champaign County, Illinois; and WHEREAS it is proposed to annex a portion of the North part of said lands to Urbana Park District in Champaign County, Illinois; and WHEREAS it is provided by law that no tract of land exceeding Ten (10) acres in area shall be included in any annexation petition without the written consent of the owner of record unless the tract (1) is subdivided into lots or blocks, or (2) is bounded on at least Three (3) sides by lands subdivided into lots and blocks; and WHEREAS the part of the above described lands so owned by the Board of Trustees of the University of Illinois sought to be annexed to said Park District is not subdivided into lots or blocks and is not bounded on at least Three (3) sides by lands subdivided into lots or blocks and exceeds Ten (10) acres in area; and WHEREAS, at a meeting of the Board of Trustees duly held, it was provided that consent might be given to the annexation of the territory hereinafter described to said Urbana Park District in Champaign County, Illinois; Therefore, the Board of Trustees of the University of Illinois, a Public Corporation, hereby consents in writing that so much of the Northeast Quarter of the Northeast Quarter of Section 19 and the North Half of the Northwest Quarter of Section 20, in Township 19 North, Range 9 East of the Third Principal Meridian, in Champaign County, Illinois, which lies South of the present boundaries of the Urbana Park District may be included in the Petition asking for the annexation of lands to said Park District and may be annexed thereto.
