On motion of Mr. Hickman, the Committee on Buildings and Grounds was requested to study the present provisions of the University Statutes for awarding construction, remodeling, and improvement contracts and to recommend the adoption of such changes therein as will permit disqualification from submitting bids or securing specifications and other materials preparatory to submitting them, and rejection of bids, of contractors whose past performance on University or other work, or the University's previous experiences with them, indicate, or reasonably justify the conclusion, that they are incompetent, irresponsible, or unreliable.

ACTING CHAIRMAN OF COMMITTEE ON BUILDINGS AND GROUNDS

Mr. Megran requested that he be relieved of the Chairmanship of the Committee on Buildings and Grounds for the next several weeks because he will be out of the state. President Livingston appointed Mr. Herrick Acting Chairman to serve during Mr. Megran's absence.
