MEETING OF THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE UNIVERSITY OF ILLINOIS December 22, 1952 The December meeting of the Board of Trustees of the University of Illinois was held in the LaSalle Hotel, Chicago, Illinois, on Monday, December 22, 1952, beginning at 10:00 a.m. When the Board convened, the following members were present: Air. John R. Fornof, Mr. Harold E. Grange, Mr. Wirt Herrick, Mr. Robert Z. Hickman, Mrs. Doris S. Holt, Mr. Wayne A. Johnston, Mr. Park Livingston, Mr. Herbert B. Megran, Mr. Vernon L. Nickell, Mrs. Frances B. Watkins. Governor Adlai E. Stevenson was absent. Also present were President George D. Stoddard, Provost Coleman R. Griffith, Vice-President A. C. Ivy, Mr. Ralph F. Lesemann, Legal Counsel, Mr. J. F. Wright, Director of Public Relations, Mr. Lloyd Morey, Comptroller, Mr. C. W. Weldon, Treasurer, and Mr. A. J. Janata, Secretary of the Board. 491
