203. United Cerebral Palsy Association: a. $10,000 to the Department of Pharmacology for a study of neuropharmacology aspects of cerebral palsy, under the direction of Dr. Klaus R. Unna, for one year beginning May I, 1953. b. $22,313 to the Department of Physical Medicine for a program of research, education, and service to the sick in the interests of cerebral palsied patients, under the supervision of Dr. Frances A. Hellebrandt. c. $3,600 to the Department of Occupational Therapy for a special study of the treatment of cerebral palsy to provide basic instruction in clinical administration of the cerebral palsy cases, under the direction of Miss Beatrice D. Wade. 204. Women's Auxiliary of the College of Medicine, $110 to the Occupational Therapy Gift Fund. 205. Women's Council for Blood Research, Inc., $1,000 to the Department of Medicine for a study on serologic aspects of hematology, under the direction of Dr. Mark H. Lepper. 206. United States Public Health Service, for support of the following research and educational programs: a. $4,725 for study of dialyzability of substances involved in syndromes of hepatic coma, postoperative hepatorenal syndrome, eclampsia and other intoxications by modified Kolff techniques, and biological and chemical characterization of dialysate, under the direction of Dr. S. H. Armstrong, Department of Medicine, for one year beginning December 1, 1951 (A-93-C). b. $6,340 for biochemical studies on gulose, idose, and talose, under the direction of Dr. Paul Kohn, Department of Biological Chemistry, for one year beginning September I, 1953 (A-425). c. $35,oo8 for studies on metabolism, morphology, and electrical properties of the nervous system in relation to each other and to normal and disturbed functioning, under the direction of Dr. R. W. Gerard, Department of Psychiatry, for one year beginning September 1, 1953 (B-413). d. $11,502 for research on relations between nuclear and cytoplasmic nucleoproteins in developing and mature nerve cells, under the direction of Doctors Arthur and Faith La Velle, Department of Anatomy, for one year beginning September 1, 1953 (B-415). e. $9,828 for the study of odontome formation in a known strain of rats, under the supervision of Dr. Isaac Schour, Department of Histology, for one year beginning October I, 1952 (C-464-C4). f. $4,908 for the study of the chemical and mechanical factors which may alter the normal growth pattern of gastric mucosa, under the direction of Dr. A. C.
